Christy Turner brings more than 25 years of investment management experience to her role as Partner and Managing Director at RTS Private Wealth &Partners. With a strong foundation in public accounting and advanced training in finance, Christy has built her career around helping clients align their wealth with their long-term goals.
Her passion for investing began during her MBA studies at the University of North Carolina and led to roles as an equity analyst and portfolio manager. She started at First Chicago Investment Management before joining American Century Investment Management, where she analyzed large-cap growth companies and later co launched and co-managed the firm’s healthcare fund in 2000.
In 2010, Christy transitioned into private wealth management, joining Dennis Schmidt—now her RTS colleague—at Wells Fargo Advisors. Inspired by her own experience working with a financial advisor, Christy is a firm believer that successful investing starts with a thoughtful financial plan. She emphasizes the importance of planning as the cornerstone for decisions around asset allocation, tax planning, wealth preservation, and security selection.
